Lake Velence is a favourite recreational area in the vincinity of Budapest. The surface is covered by a labyrinth of reed. Fun when sailing in a dinghy, scenic from an airplane.
We may also visit the Brunszvik castle, the staue of the Battle of Pákozd, the Dog castle at Érd, the Air Defense Museum of Zsámbék or the Refinery at Százhalombatta. None of these are registered as a UNESCO World Heritage, but still interesting especially if you are from this area.
Flight time: depending on the exact route, between 30 min and 1 hour 30 min.
