Seaside - Croatia

The 1000 islands of the croatian sealine attract many of us.

Although beautiful from the shore, amazing from the sea, the full beauty of the scattered cliffs will be revealed from the air only.

A dozen airports can be considered as destination. The well known Krk, Pula, Zadar, Split or Dubrovnik, all have their airports, from where we can get with a taxi to their cities or the beach.

Nowdays these places are easily accessible on the road too, thanks to the determinated highway program of Croatia. You should fly here primarly not for particality of flying, but for the exceptional pleasure.

Few people know, but the Adriatic reveals her real face on her islands only. The ones with internatioanl airport are Mali Losinj in the Kvarner and Brac in Dalmatia. For a short trip flying is much more practical than the car-ferry combination, especially in the crowded high season.

But the real adventure starts beyond these...

Just a few minutes flying away from Losinj is the Island of Unije. Her landing strip is directly on the shore. Both the beach and the township with restaurants and accomodation are just a few minutes of walking away.

The neighbour of Brac, Hvar island also has a grass landing strip, 15 minutes away from the town Starigrad. On foot! A scheduled bus or taxi would take us the city of Hvar, the most enchanting town.

These 2 secret get-away-islands can not be experienced in a weekend by any other means than flying. And don't forget, the flight ther and back are as much fun as the things awaiting us there!
